At Rufana Alp, our cuisine is guided by quality and provenance. Regional ingredients, seasonal touches and careful craftsmanship come together in balanced dishes characterised by clarity and authentic alpine flavours.
The mountain village of Bürserberg is located at 817 meters above sea level at the entrance to the Brandnertal valley. Above the village, on the sunny Tschengla high plateau at around 1,250 meters, lies Rufana Alp, surrounded by alpine landscapes and offering a clear view of the iconic Schesaplana massif.
The region is known for its open meadows, forests and panoramic views. In summer, the surrounding area invites you to go hiking, walking and biking. In winter, the hut is located within the Brandnertal ski area and is the ideal place to stop after skiing, snowshoeing, or cross-country skiing.
Rufana Alp’s unique location combines tranquility and nature with easy accessibility, offering the perfect setting for relaxation, culinary experiences, and events, far from the hustle and bustle.
You can drive directly to the Loischkopfbahn valley station. From there, a road leads directly to the Rufana Alp. The walk from the parking lot to the hut takes less than 10 minutes.
Wedding couples have the option of driving up to Rufana Alp with up to three vehicles and parking there for free.
In the winter, Rufana Alp is located directly on the ski slopes and can easily be reached by ski. Alternatively, there is a well-maintained, lit hiking trail from the Loischkopfbahn valley station parking lot that takes less than 10 minutes to walk. We also offer a shuttle service from the Loischkopfbahn valley station parking lot upon request.
